JB Stone Masonry hand-makes bespoke stone window surrounds, heads, lintels, cills, jambs and mullions, for high-end new builds, period homes and listed-building restorations for customers across North Wales, Cheshire and the Wirral.

Our stone window surrounds give a beautiful traditional appearance to any building project. We can stone mason the entire surround including:

  • Jambs (the vertical posts of the window frame)
  • Mullions (the vertical bars between the panes of glass in the window/ between window units)
  • Transoms (the strengthening crossbar set above the window)

Designing your window surround

Using AutoCAD, we can collaborate with you to design your stone window surrounds. Alternatively we can work with your architect’s drawings and directions. Every surround is hand-tooled by our masons. Whether plain or moulded, a stone window surround carries on the hand-carved stonework that has dressed fine British houses for centuries. If you’re based in North Wales, Cheshire or on the Wirral, we can come out to your site if you need window surrounds for a restoration project or listed building. That lets us take detailed templates and dimensions so we reproduce existing details precisely. Even though the designs we produce may look traditional, our stone window surrounds can accommodate double glazing if required.

Our window surrounds are made from a variety of natural stones, all of which are sourced within the UK, and finished to an extremely high standard. We’ll always take the time to hand-tool using traditional stone mason methods and techniques when working on old properties.
