Using CAD design in stone masonry

We provide a modern CAD design service to ensure the work we do is to your exact requirements. A design proof  is submitted to you either by email or on good old fashioned paper if you prefer. This is so you know the look of what you will be getting and have the opportunity to comment on the design and have the final say.

The beauty of using the latest CAD technology is that we can see the design in 3D and see the results of changes to any measurements and tweaks to the look. Something stonemasons of the past could only dream about!

This process not only allows us to see how the design looks, we can also make sure it works with the building and check all the dimensions are correct. Once the design is finalised, we are able to go into production with a full set of working drawings.

We have the facilities to print on A3 and A1, which makes the production of large templates simple and easy and you can get a very clear idea how things will look. The full process is not only beneficial for you but it is also great for production in the workshop too.

Below are some designs we have produced using CAD. Scroll through the images using the navigation buttons.

A cill for a round window

The client simply emailed us a photo of an existing window from her Iphone, and told us the radius of the new window. We did the rest.

Set of garden steps

First drawing was for the builder to set the steps out as required. The second drawing is the stone steps to match the builder’s foundation.
